Mulled Vya

The spice and aromatics – and the gosh darn flavor of this drink make it oh so very tasty and the perfect thing to bring out this holiday season. I like to have a pot simmering on the stove on Friday evening for whomever may stop by. And it’s so very easy. It’s more like cooking than drink making, if you can call throwing some Vya and spices in a pot cooking! Just try it and fill the house with the scent of cinnamon, orange, and cloves….

Vya is already filled with holiday spices, and these additions blend in beautifully, bringing spice and sweet to the forefront.

Mulled Vya

MULLED VYA

375 ml (1 ½ cups) Vya Sweet

375 ml (1 ½ cups) Vya Extra Dry

One peeled and sliced orange

¼ cup of brandy OR ½ cup Essensia Orange Muscat

8-10 cloves

⅓ cup honey

3 cinnamon sticks

1 tsp fresh or 2 tsp ground ginger

Serves 4-6
Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Slowly warm the ingredients on low to medium heat (avoid boiling), for 20-25 minutes. Stir occasionally. Once the honey has completely dissolved and the stew is steaming it is ready to serve!
